Sybil Ege has 30 years management and consulting experience in Corporate America in the Information Technology field, with extensive experience in the development of large and complex software systems for the administration and reporting of group health claims and higher education receivables.
After leaving corporate, she become a small business owner. She has over 12 years in this arena, including over five years as a franchisee with The Entrepreneur’s Source (TES), where she assisted others to evaluate and select franchise opportunities.
She additionally has experience as an independent small business owner. She has in the past provided marketing assistance to other small businesses on an out-sourced basis, and currently has her own consulting business focusing on helping other small businesses grow. Her specialty is providing financial and business planning services.
Until very recently, Sybil managed the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Elgin Community College for close to six years, providing counseling services and workshops to start-up and existing small businesses.
In 2015, Sybil founded the Women Leaders in Business and now operates two chapters – one in Geneva, and another in Arlington Heights. The groups meet monthly and are designed to provide experienced women executives, who are focused on growing their businesses, an opportunity to comfortably discuss issues they face with other empathetic and supportive women. The meetings are also designed to provide on-going education, through workshops, in business areas requested by the membership, and to hold each other accountable for commitments they make.
